Mr. Richard Swirsky, Guidance Counselor Email: rswirsky@akron.12.oh.us
I have served as the school counselor at St. Augustine since 2006. Currently, I provide weekly social skill and character lessons to lower grades, and counseling services to students of all ages.
The Catholic teachings on social justices and personal transformation are just part of the reason I enjoy working at St. Augustine. I have found this to be an excellent school staffed by conscientious and skilled educators, backed by a caring community of parents.
My residence is in Akron's west side where I have been involved as a youth baseball and soccer coach, community garden coordinator, and president of my neighborhood park association. I have been married for 22 years and have two grown children, three cats, a dog, and two toads.
