Email:  ashley.koroshazi@staugschool.net

I have started my second year of teaching at St. Augustine School.  I graduated from The University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science in Middle Level Education, with a concentration in mathematics, language arts, and reading. Currently, I am teaching fourth and fifth grade language arts and reading, in addition to fourth grade religion and mathematics.  As a graduate of St. Augustine School, I feel very blessed to be teaching in the school building where I was inspired to teach.

In my spare time I like to spend time with my family, read, and shop at Target.  My husband and I have one son named Riley.

I am a graduate of St. Augustine School., Archbishop Hoban High School and The University of Akron.  I reside in Norton with my husband, Ryan, and three sons.  Kyle is a sixth grader here at St. Augustine, Andrew is in kindergarten, and Matthew was two in September.  I was baptized, received First Communion, confirmed, and married here at Saint Augustine and I feel priviledged to have the opportunity to teach in this great parish.  Formerly, I worked in the field of sports marketing with The University of Akron Department of Athletics and the Cleveland Indians.  When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my boys.  I love participating in and watching sports.

I am entering my fifth year of teaching at St. Augustine.  I received a Bachelor of Science degree in metallurgical engineering from The Ohio State University.  After a sabbatical happily spent raising three sons, I went back to school and earned a license to teach math, science, and reading from Walsh University.  My interest include reading, camping, playing in the garden, and inviting butterflies into my yard for food and a place to raise their caterpillars.

I am in my first year teaching at St. Augustine School.  I am a 2011 graduate of The University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science in Middle Level Education. I am also a proud 2006 graduate of Archbishop Hoban High School.  I have been a member of St. Augustine Church since 1998.   I am also a frequent volunteer at St. Augustine School, especially helping with CYO basketball.

I am an avid sports fan.  My first love is football.  As a trip inside my classroom would show, I enjoy rooting for my Cleveland Browns, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, as well as my alma mater, the Hoban Knights.

My journey to St. Augustine School, started in Evansville, Indiana.  I graduated from the University of Evansville.  I taught at Memorial High School and spent summers in graduate school at Indiana University.  Next came marriage and a move to Bloomington, Indiana.  Then northeastern Ohio beckoned, and we were on our way.

It has been a joy to teach the seventh grade at St. Augustine School for many years.  I have always looked forward to entering Room 305 to teach English and many other subjects to sixth, seventh, and eighth graders.

When I am not involved with teaching, I like to travel with my husband, read a good book, do crossword puzzles, and I have even spent a summer on an archaeological dig.  I am always ready to learn, teach, and support St. Augustine School.

This is my second year at St. Augustine.  I graduated from Ashland University in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science in Middle Grades Education, with concentrations in Math and Science, and K-12 Reading.  I am currently working on my masters through Ashland University, hoping to complete it before next year.  Currently, I am teaching 4th, 6th, and 7th grade math; 4th grade science, and 7th and 8th grade religion.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, my husband, Nick, and our newborn son Caleb.

Dr. Edward Savitski, Science

My academic background consists of a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Cleveland State University.  My undergraduate research was concerned with gas phase chemical reactions.  Following that, I earned a Ph.D. in Polymer Science from The University of Akron where my dissertation concerned the physical and chemical properties of polymer films used in liquid crystal displays.  I next completed post-doctoral studies with the Fire Research Branch of the Federal Aviation Administration where I worked with high performance polymers used in aircraft interiors.  After that I worked for Eastman Chemical Company as a Senior Research Chemist specializing in the physical and analytical chemistry of polymers.  Following that, I took a seven year hiatus to be a stay-at-home father for my three daughters.  During that time I completed an accelerated teaching licensure program at The University of Akron.  I began teaching at St. Augustine School in the fall of 2008.  In that year, I was selected by the National Science Teacher Association for the New Science Teacher Fellowship and participated in that professional development program.  My personal interest include bicycling, fitness, canine obedience training, and playing clarinet.
